Khushboo Grewal is a Punjabi film actress, veejay and singer from Chandigarh, India. She got her first taste in the entertainment industry at 15 years old when she finished runner up for Miss India North, followed by reaching the finals in Channel V Popstar in 2002. Later, Grewal became a beloved veejay working for B4u music and her career began to skyrocket from there. Not long after she appeared as the voice of Sunny Leone in Pink Lips (Hate Story 2), which topped the international and national charts. Always on the go, her hands are always full with multiple assignments at a time, from shoots for films to television and documentaries, the work never stops with Khushboo Grewal.
Toronto All-Star Girls is an independent and passionate group of sisters who share a love for performing the art of Punjabi folk dance. We believe dance is the universal language of the world and a way of expression. Through the art of dance we hope to empower others to help preserve the rich culture and heritage of Punjab. With the massive popularity of our previous performances, we are truly humbled to have established our name as one of the best all-female Bhangra teams across all of North America.
Our biggest accomplishments include: 1st place at MotorCity Bhangra in Detroit, 1st place at Bhangra Fever in New York, 2nd place at Bhangra Masti held right here in Toronto, 2nd place at Bulldog Bhangra in California, and 3rd place at Bhangra in the Burgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Shobha is trained in Carnatic and Hindustani Classical music and also enjoys singing Bollywood Music, Ghazals, Indian folk and Western music. She has sung for many product commercials and released several music albums in various languages in India and Canada. Her most recent accomplishment is releasing her own single “Raahein – produced here in Canada by Awaazein” and a beautiful Ghazal Halat Ye Hai – written composed and also recorded here in Canada.
Shobha has mentored many upcoming talents and local artists here in Toronto when she was invited to judge various music competitions – CMR Star Search 101.3, Panorama India, Super Singing Star Contest, etc. She is also a popular radio artist in Canada, USA and the Caribbean.
Shobha has performed at many concerts across the globe and also strived tirelessly to the use her talent to giving back to the community by participating at charity events and fund raisers i.e. Breast cancer society foundation- Canada, Handi Care International – India, Heart and Stroke Foundation- Canada and others.
Shobha is a recipient of 2 Awards in 2016 in the category of performing arts and her contribution to music

Dhiraj Barla is a software developer by profession and a singer by passion. He works to feed his family and sing to feed his soul.
His musical journey started at a very young age. As a kid, He used to sing along with the radio. Being the only one who can sing in his whole family, growing up was loads of fun for him. A good melody with good lyrical value is a great inspiration for him.
He is a trained Classical Carnatic Singer. He enjoys singing various styles of music such as Clasical Carnatic, Ghazals, Sufi Music and commercial Bollywood music.
He Won TANA MAA TV Super Singers Contest held at Chicago in 2009.
He is also a Finalist in first Panaroma India Idol in 2010.

Desi Muziko is a Toronto based music band of industry’s leading singers and best musicians offering desi music all over North America. The members have performed in various countries like India, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Kenya, Italy and many more.
The Reel Youth Film Festval is a compelling and humorous collecton of internatonal youth-made shorts. Chosen by an internatoinal youth jury from over 1500 submissions and almost 100 countries, it explores the world through young eyes. Whether it’s an immigrant’s story of building home in a new country, Iranian children finding love at a busy intersecton, or fruits and vegetables enduring the hardships of kitchen-prison, laughter and learning are guaranteed. This screening features films made by local youth filmmakers, as well as filmmakers around the world of South Asian descent.
Randy Persaud is a prolific character in Peel Region who champions many events throughout his community. Charged as the cities’ Hypemachine, Randy is one of the most sought after hosts, announcers and community producers in city.
A charismatic Rogers Television personality for over 7 years, Randy has hosted a variety of programs from Talk Local, Local Notes, Carassauga Pre-Show, The MARTY Awards Kickoffshow and Cable 10 Live.
He has worked with high profile CBC productions such as Hockey Night in Canada, The Olympic Summer and Winter Games, Dragons Den, Rick Mercer and many more.
A former boxing ring announcer for Boxing Ontario, Randy has hosted events at arenas and stadiums around southern Ontario. He has hosted crowds of over 80,000 for many events from the Bollywood Monster Mashup, Youth Day, MAC Arts Festival, Mississauga Waterfront Festival, The Pan Am Games and Carassauga.
In 2016, Randy won the Creative Community award by the Mississauga Arts Council at the MARTY Awards for his work in the community. His award was recognized by the Honourable MP Iqra Khalid in the House of Commons.

Uppekha Jain is former Miss. Prior to Saathiya, Uppekha was, and continues to be a spoken word poet, who shot to international acclaim with her self-written and co-performed piece ‘The Rap Against Rape’. This video created a sensation across the world and was featured across prominent news channels including The Wall Street Journal, Canada AM, Huffington Post, The Times in addition to various lifestyle portals like Cosmopolitan, Maria Claire, Glamour, Femina and many more. This international disruption and attention on India’s attitude towards rape, helped coerce and put pressure on the government which eventually led to policy and law reform in the country.
