Vikas is the mastermind behind all things MonstrARTity. His expertise includes constantly pushing the envelope and his creative ideas keep us on our toes. He holds an Honours Degree in Mathematics & Philosophy from the University of Toronto, an MBA from the Schulich School of Business and a CFA. As an award-winning film composer and music producer, he is known for fusing together genres as varied as punk, classical and Bollywood pop. He has received the Trailblazer Award from the ReelWorld Film Festival, Voice Achievers Award and a MARTY award from the Mississauga Arts Council. Vikas sits on the Mayor’s Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee for the City of Mississauga, Polyphonic Ground, and Mississauga Partners in Music. He has been profiled on ET Canada, CBC The National, The Globe & Mail, The Hindustan Times and Zee News.



Lauren has a degree in Media Studies and a diploma in Public Relations. She has an excellent memory for birthdays and is the personal calendar for all her friends, so it’s only fitting that she’s our go-to for project management. On top of keeping us organized, Lauren brightens up our meetings with her love of sparkly things and frequent “yay”-saying. Her appreciation for the arts includes a love of all things dance, including her former days as a competitive tap dancer.



Marisol has a Masters from the London School of Economics and Political Science in Gender, Development and Globalization. She has worked with non-profits, social enterprises and incubators across the Greater Toronto Area to roll out development plans that include prospect research, individual giving, major asks, sponsorship and cases for support planning. At the end of the day Marisol likes to wind down with a warm cup of tea, while listening to suspenseful crime podcasts, and watching cat videos.



Once known as “Hot Sauce” on the basketball courts of Toronto, Amadeo is now more of a Tabasco sauce on the courts but still fire on the keys and percussion. On the stage, Amadeo enjoys performing Latin and funk music. Off the stage, Amadeo is an expert when it comes to project planning, outreach, and fundraising in the non-profit arts sector. As a development specialist, he has been involved with multiple festivals, post-secondary institutions and charities.




Filip has a diploma in Marketing from Georgian College and a degree in Communications from Laurentian University. He is known for the most enthusiastic high-fives around and his record is 350 in 26 days. As our main videographer, Filip creates and curates the image of MonstrARTity with amazing visuals. His favourite part about being a videographer is interviewing other passionate creators. He’s lucky enough to have interviewed prominent CEOs, famous musicians, mayors, and celebrities internationally.



Cassandra has a degree in Communication Studies from York University. Fiercely passionate about the arts, she has been working in cultural industries since she was 17. Like any good publicist, Cassandra has a knack for writing, loves social media, and is addicted to coffee. She’s always loved live music and spends her evenings taking photos at concerts. As a photographer, Cassandra has been fortunate enough to cover prominent festivals like Festival d’été de Québec, WayHome, Canadian Music Week, Field Trip, and Toronto Urban Roots Fest.



Coming from a traditional East Asian dance background, Cindy studied Communication and Culture at York University, specializing in politics and policy. She became an arts administrator in 2008 to provide a stronger voice for culturally specific arts organizations. Outside of the office and off stage, Cindy enjoys exploring new dance forms and their communities. Cindy loves travelling and going on adventures, some of which have included driving solo in the Middle East, almost losing her way in the middle of the Mauritian rainforest, and taking out someone’s side view mirror. She relaxes by doing aerial yoga and dangling upside down like a bat.



As a graduate of University of Western Ontario and The Harris Institute, Sari is both tough and fearless. Fluent in music promotion and technical production, you’d want her on your side as an unparalleled production manager, stage manager, and more. She has worked with multiple festivals and every band you can think of.



Brandon holds a BFA in Music and a B.Ed in Music Education from York University. As a larger-than-life voice and personality, it’s hard not to listen to him. And based on his musical expertise, you’d be missing out if you tried anyways. He is our resident music arranger and by day he teaches music theory to the next generation of musicians at schools in Toronto.




Kamdar is the powerful force behind all the food, clothing and jewelry at our festivals! He is responsible for the overall management and coordination of all vending operations at our larger-than-life productions. Be sure to say hello and tell him who your favourite vendor is if you see him at our events!



Randy Persaud is a prolific character in Peel Region that champions many events throughout his community. Charged as the cities Hypemachine, Randy is one of the most sought after Host, Announcer and Community producer in the city. Which is why he will be bringing his energy as our Facebook Live Curator in this year’s Bollywood Monster Mashup!


Nav Nanwa is a media personality/curator based in the Peel Region. He previously was the producer/host of the show “Business Casual” on Rogers TV Peel, where he profiled the local Peel business community, and hot topic issues affecting the business world. Nav is one of our Urban Music Curators, be sure to say hi when you see him at Bollywood Monster does Brampton!


With a background in theatre, music, and film, Jawn’s holistic vision for urban entertainment is embroiled with a passion for Hip Hop Arts and Culture; the driving force behind 40oz Heroes. Jawn’s commitment to strengthening and expanding the urban arts community is exemplified by his creative design and video production.


Amish’s life began as a classic fish out of water tale. From a young age he gained perspectives on both Indian and Canadian cultures and learned to deal with discrimination and xenophobia through humour. Amish loved comedy from day one but he still obtained an Aerospace Engineering degree.


Raoul Juneja has over a decade of experience programming music videos from all genres within the South Asian and urban music industries, as well as serving on the juries of several music competitions. In his spare time, Raoul acts as Vikas Kohli’s unofficial historian.
